The participation of the students of VIEEE Student Branch, Electrical was organized as a part of Student – Industry Interaction program.


CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CEERI), Pilani, is a pioneer research institute in the country and a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. Since its inception in 1953, it has been working for the growth of electronics in the country and for undertaking R&D in Electronics.

CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CEERI), Pilani is a premier research Institute in the field of Electronics, established in 1953 under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). It is devoted to R&D activities in three areas, namely: (1) Advanced Electronic Systems: Electronic Instrumentation, Industrial Control & Automation, Power Electronics, Robotics, Image Processing & DSP, Embedded System Design etc.; (2) Advanced Semiconductor Electronics : MEMS, Microsensors, VLSI Design (Digital, Analog, Mixed Signal), Opto-electronic Technologies, Photonic Devices and Sub-systems, Nano-electronics etc.; (3) Microwave Tubes: Klystron, Magnetron, Travelling Wave Tubes, Gyrotron, Plasma Tubes, Tera Hertz devices etc. CSIR-CEERI also has a Centre at Chennai.

1. Advanced Facility for Nano-Electronics

2. Research Initiative on Nano-Devices and Nano-sensors

3. Advanced Microsensors and Microsystems: Design, Development and Applications

4. Technology Solutions for Micro Air Vehicle(MAV) Development

5. Creating Intellectual Property and Capabilities for the Development of Improved Security Features and Substrates for the Indian Currency Notes

6. Development of Advanced Materials for Next-generation Energy-efficient Devices

7. Development of Novel CSIR Technologies for Manufacturing Tailored and Patient-specific Bioceramic Implants and Biomedical Devices at Affordable Cost.
